Talk: "Food and Our City"

@School of Everyday Life

Event description:

In a city like Hong Kong, it is easy to become preoccupied with our busy, fast paced lives and neglect one of the most basic, but important issues of our life: food. Rather than being concerned with where and how their food is grown and produced, city-dwellers are leaned towards convenience. In this event, participants will be able to stop and rethink about our relationship with our food, and what we can do to re-build awareness in our community as well as practically alleviate problems associated with the commercial food system, right here in Hong Kong.

We will be sharing views regarding these issues in a talk hosted by School of Everyday Life.

The following speakers will provide their respective experiences based on their expertise:

Andrew Tsui, Rooftop Republic Cofounder

As well as speakers from:

Land Justice League, and

Tin Shui Wai Community Development Network.
