Urban farming is a multi-faceted and multi-functional concept. Far from just being a way to produce food in the city, urban farming is a powerful tool for community revitalization and social cohesion. It can, for example, help tackle food insecurity, provide job opportunities for disadvantaged groups or allow for intergenerational and intercultural interactions.

 

At Rooftop Republic, we are always looking out for collaborative projects to bring together different stakeholders with a shared view to empower local communities. From donating part of our harvests to foodbanks, to engaging elderly populations around the pleasure and joy of farming, or training disadvantage youth, we strive to use urban farming as tool for transformative change.
