Programme description:
Interested in growing your own food but don’t know where to start? have you tried growing but you're chronically killing your leafy friends? or do you simply want to have a fun afternoon while greening your thumb? This course is for you!
Join us as our experienced organic farmer introduces you to the world of urban farming through hands-on activities and some basic theory. The programme will give you an overview of the climate and different seasons in Hong Kong, as well as to when to grow what; it will build your understanding on how plants work; and it will help you understand the main consideration when growing in a small space like a windowsill, balcony or rooftop; it will also provide you with basic skills to confidently germinate seeds, transplant seedlings, fertilize and much more!
