At least 6 hours daily under full sun

Moderate amount of water

Eggplant is fairly drought tolerant but needs moist soil for maximum fruit production 

 

Plant in a container that is 3-5 gallons in size

Plant the seedlings 18-24 inches apart in raised beds or double rows 2-3 feet apart
