Okra must have a steady supply of water at all times 

 

Plant in a pot that is at least 10 inches in diameter

Space the seedlings 2 inches apart in rich soil and about 1/2 inch deep

Okras can grow up to 2 meters high
Their mature seeds can be used as a substitute for coffee after frying and milling
When red okra is cooked, it loses its red hue and the pods turn green
Okra provides a good source of vitamin C, vitamin A, folacin and other B vitamins plus magnesium, potassium, and calcium. It's fat-free, cholesterol-free and low in calories
